| Steven! GET UP!! |
My canary, Steven, died this weekend. Think I may have turned off the heat in basement too soon. Kate made a pretty coffin and I will make you a headstone. When I told the kids, "Steven is dead." Stella, 3, yelled, "OH! Me wanna see hims dead!" She keeps asking when he's coming back. Emma, 11, wanted to touch him. My friend, our friend, Teresa was in town and she helped move the body. We made a stretcher and Steven was still floppy. Right now he's in the freezer right next to Kate's Girl Scout cookies. Think it's the "Thanks-A-Lots".

| winter yuck |
Today I tidied master bedroom and family room. I worked outside cleaning up pool area by chopping the ornamental grasses, raking leaves, returning gravity challenged rocks to the surrounding rock beds. I'm only good for a few hours at a time so I will continue tomorrow. Ex nanny-still friend, Jen and her two boys came over for a visit. Lily helped me outside for 34 seconds. Emma "watched" Stella but was somehow unaware of the 2 gallons of water Stella deliberately poured on the marble floor just a few feet from Emma's watchful eye. In all fairness, Emma was distracted by the computer on her lap. Zoe is doing work for us by cleaning the garage. That girl will have a hundred jobs in her lifetime. She will get them quickly and lose them quicker BUT I know she will always have a job and that's okay because she will still get paid for the day of work she did or for just showing up. I hope.

Also crocheted a little. Started this blog and ignored the laundry. Time for a head count of the children.
I hope you update often! Thanks for the mention....
